Information: Spice is an outstanding Pointer bitch sired by NFTCh & FTCh Mountain Valley Ranger (2010 Dog of the Year) out of Upland Buzz. I had the good fortune to shoot Greywing Partridge over Ranger when he was still a very young dog and even then he was brimming with the promise that he has subsequently delivered on. Upland Buzz was almost as naughty as her owner at Field Trials, but despite that, remains one of the best game-finders I have ever had the privilege to shoot over.

Spice is a very successful combination of the prevalent American and Continental Field Trial bloodlines in South Africa. She has an exceptional nose and game-finding ability, runs as big as is necessary and is an accomplished retriever of upland game-birds… I have never tested her on waterfowl. In the home, Spice is extremely soft and biddable, almost to the point of being too soft, but her softness belies her hunting drive - she hunts like a demon. Her litter brothers Smudge and Jet, respectively, won the Western Cape Field Trial Club's Championship Stake in 2013 and 2014. Spice has been afflicted with an early onset of arthritis and is now enjoying a well-earned and gracious retirement.
